About USO NET
            The provision of Universal Service Obligation, referred to in short as USO, is one of key missions of the National Telecommunication Commission. Universal Service Obligation is also considered a fundamental factor for economic and social development which will help bridge the gap of telecommunication accessibility and will create opportunity in accessing to better telecommunication. This will make necessary information available to the public for bettering people’s quality of life.
            Under the Notification of the National Telecommunication Commission Regarding Criteria, Methods, and Conditions for Universal Service Obligation dated 3 August 2003, and the 2nd Notification of the National Telecommunication Commission Regarding Criteria, Methods, and Conditions for Universal Service Obligation dated 6 October 2009, it is required to have Universal Service Obligation in all areas throughout Thailand. For providing this 2nd phase of Universal Service Obligation, the licensees are required to arrange school internet centers and community internet centers in rural areas where lack of telecommunication infrastructure. This is to promote the accessibility and the use of internet services as nowadays internet plays an important role in developing knowledge and promoting learning of rural students, as well as in developing career opportunity for people in the communities and contributing to the sustainable strengthening of the communities.
            USO NET Centers have been established since 2005 until now in order to promote the use of computer, internet, work typing, printing and others among community people, as well as to be learning centers for children and the general public to learn more about the fundamental use of technology for daily life which may be beneficial further
