Funding and financial support from BTFP as per Clause 5 of the Notification of BTFP Fund Management Committee Re: rules, methods and conditions regarding expenditures, monitoring and performance evaluation of Broadcasting and Telecommunications Research and Development Fund for Public Interest can be divided into three following categories:

Category 1- Projects funded and financially supported by BTFP that are in compliance with the objectives set forth in Sections 52 (1) (2) (3) and (4). This shall refer to general funding and financial supports which applicants can propose their project offers to request for such financial support if such project fulfill the objectives stipulated in Section 52(1) USO, Section 52(2) Research and Development and Latest Media Trend Updates, Section 52(3) Personnel Development and Section 52(4) Consumer Protection.  

Category 2 – Projects specified by BTFP Fund Management Committee in order to fulfill the objectives stipulated in Sections 52 (1) (2) (3) and (4), including promoting, supporting and ensuring compliance with governmental policies, Master Plan for Spectrum Management, Master Plan for Broadcasting and Television Services, Master Plan for Telecommunications Services and Master Plan for Universal Service Supply for Basic Telecommunications Services and Social Services. This shall refer to funding and financial support for specific operation. BTFP Fund Management Committee shall announce the Terms of Reference (TOR) so that applicants can prepare and submit the offers that are in line with the specified projects.          

Category 3 – Funds for supporting compliance with the laws relating to Safe and Creative Media Development Fund as per Section 52(5).
